Guitar portal

Hi Madder! Thanks for your adds on the Guitar portal. I also done a template “Articles related to Guitar” that appears in the portal and at the end of most of the articles related to guitar. http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Template:Guitar

The thing is that when I clic on “hide” there is a problem in the end of the Portal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Guitar Could you do something to solve it?

Thanks! .

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Tommaso456

Hi Tommas, no problem :-) I can't see any problem with clicking on hide though? Madder 19:49, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar

I've been seeing your name everywhere around Portal:Music, and when I clicked on your sig I expected to find a longtime contributor. But you don't even have a talk page archive; in fact, you never got a welcome message! Welcome, officially, from me. You seem to be pretty competent, but here's a message just for keeps:

Welcome!

Hello, Madder, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! Λυδαcιτγ 02:49, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And furthermore:

I, Λυδαcιτγ, award Madder the Working Man's Barnstar for his excellent work on Portal:Music, on this day of 02:49, 24 July 2006 (UTC). Keep up the good work![reply]

Interoit's Tool2

Re your message: I checked your monobook.js and it looks like when you first inserted the code [1], you left out the trailing curly bracket "}". So the if statement wasn't complete and the JavaScript failed. When you removed the if statement, you removed the leading curly bracket and therefore the JavaScript was valid and got executed. Try reinserting the code with the trailing curly bracket and it should work. One thing you might want to try is to bring up Firefox's JavaScript Console and make sure that there are no JavaScript errors after you reload the code into your monobook.js. -- Gogo Dodo 05:46, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: You're welcome. Glad that you got it to work. JavaScript programming can indeed be tricky. -- Gogo Dodo 05:22, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Minor things

A couple minor things I wanted to alert you to: First, you shouldn't use popups to revert good-faith edits - popups are really meant for vandalism only. Instead, have the popup program prompt you for an edit summary, and type in an explanation for why you are reverting.

Second, it would be great if you would use edit summaries more often for non-minor edits such as this one, since they're helpful in viewing histories of pages and watchlists.

Good job promoting the Music Portal! Λυδαcιτγ 23:36, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I guess we should be in touch considering we'll both be editing the same article. I've been on Wikipedia for less than a day, so while I may know about the voice, your opinions on things will be valuable to me.

Pearl Hamilton

Dear Mr. Madder, It was late when I created the page, so I added only the last radio reference. I will be adding much more. It's unfortuate that music historians, and critics haven't noted Pearl after the WWII era. In 1926 Pearl & her trio traveled with Geraldine Vallerie (Jerry & her Baby Grands), The Hamilton Sisters & Jessie Fordyce toured with Helen Kane 1921-1927 on Broadway, and The Three X Sisters (recorded with Eddie Duchin, Isham Jones, Bert Ambrose, and others). All of these people mentioned are also mentioned in the Wikpedia pages. If you could just give me some time to edit the pages and note the works, maybe you'll see the accomplishments. There's an interesting radio page article that I have from 1935 which say's that the trio had been on the radio approximately 300 times up to that point. That's quite an accomplishment for women of that era when radio was still fairly young. *I know about this woman's career because she was my grandmother. Sincerely, Glenn Santos Xmanager 16:33, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Logo-jo-albertville-1992.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo-jo-albertville-1992.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. re Swedish battleships

re Swedish battleships - yes it is. I didn't put "guns" after each one because I thought it unnecessary. I expect readers to have some knowledge :) SpookyMulder 11:35, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

mohd rafi

thanks, as i too aware of things like "He continues to command the inspiration and adoration of millions of music lovers and innumerable new Bollywood playback singers" which was added into previous editions by someone else- actually he is the person who started to put so many sentenses giving a tone of "tribute" rather than encyclopedia. plz see http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Mohammed_Rafi&diff=97039614&oldid=90506347

and Venktrajan is the person who started this business!!!!!!!!1 we have to remove such sentences.....
