Carl.

Carl Brutananadilewski (voiced by Dave Willis) is the Aqua Teen Hunger Force's neighbor. Carl is the only main character not in the ATHF (and the only human main character).

Carl is balding and overweight. He dresses casually, usually wearing a "gold" chain, stained wifebeater shirt, pocketless sweatpants, and green flip-flops. Carl has a collection of pornography, poor self-esteem, questionable hygiene, and dubious rapport with the opposite sex (Carl has said that he has never had consensual sex without money involved). Carl's date of birth is shown as February 23rd, 1961. The show has never addressed Carl's employment status beyond his reference to "busting his ass for 20 hours a week" and his claim to "work out of the home". Although one episode of the show hinted at Carl working in manufacturing when he was 8, no episode has shown him gainfully employed. It has been revealed that he was raised by a neglectful father who gave him carpet samples for Christmas, which they would later eat as Christmas dinner. Additionally, although likely not intended to be canonical, the trailer for Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters identifies Carl as "a cop on the edge." Presumably this is just a testament to the random humor of the show, but it may be a subtle reveal of Carl's true, or at least former occupation. Coincidentally (though perhaps non-canonically) the Adult Swim webgame "Carl's Freakin' Strip Poker" features "Cousin Dominick", presumably a law enforcement officer or detective. He looks like a slightly older Carl, with a toupee, is somewhat thinner, and has a visible scar on his chest from a heart operation. His Last name was revealed in a 1981 class yearbook and was briefly mentioned during his ill-fated wedding to a Chechen prostitute.

Carl is a die-hard New York Giants fan (as referenced by a jersey he owns, a football helmet-lamp with the #56 on it, and a picture of Bill Parcells hanging in his living room). He has said that the day the Giants won the Super Bowl in 1991 was the greatest day of his life. His devotion to the Giants recently surfaced in a Season 4 episode in which former Giants center Bart Oates appears to Carl. Carl is also a fan of the New York Mets and has a Mike Piazza poster in his house. His favorite rock bands include Boston, Styx and Foreigner.

Carl considers the Aqua Teens freaks, and generally tries to avoid contact with them; several episodes have shown Carl making an attempt to sell his home. At times, however, he seems to relate to Master Shake and partners with him in one of Shake's get-rich-quick schemes. Carl has called the members of the Aqua Teen Hunger force by various nicknames, including: Master Shake, "Cup" or "Shakeman" (although more often than not he calls him Shake, and in the pilot he called him Mr. Food Monster); Frylock, "Fryman"; and Meatwad, "Meatman." In his attempts to keep the Aqua Teens away from him, he has called the police (he said they eventually stopped taking his calls long ago), attempted to take out a restraining order, surrounded his house with lasers and pulled a gun on Master Shake (which then resulted in the gun backfiring and shooting Carl in his foot). Carl is often assaulted, injured, and killed due to the various schemes of the Aqua Teens. Carl has died more times than any other character on the show combined, yet he invariably reappears in the next episode completely unharmed.

A running gag on Aqua Teen Hunger Force is the destruction of Carl's possessions. Carl's home has been routinely damaged or destroyed, having been melted, whisked off by the Leprechauns' rainbow-making machine, infested by thousands of termites from the Congo, burned down when Meatwad played with matches, and again from bad wiring when Shake converted all Carl's electricity to his house, wrapped in silk, having the numbers 1 through 3 smeared with horse manure for a fake Olympic medalist ceremony, scratched with symbols in a 'note' from Meatwad, and crushed by two giant egg creatures. Carl has an above-ground swimming pool in his backyard, in which the Aqua Teens often swim (uninvited and undesired). The pool has been the site of a suicide by Shake, a mysterious (to Carl) explosion (Shake blew it up one night), an attempt to do the dishes by Shake that involved a car battery and dog shampoo, a storehouse of elfin blood, Shake's toilet (he claims to have urinated in it many, many times), and a depository in which the genetically-engineered Handbanana and Spaghetti were created. Carl also has a red Nissan 240SX detailed with the graphics 2 Wycked, which has been destroyed many times over the course of the show; once it was crushed by the Rabbot, in another the Mooninites scratched "DA MOON RULZ #1" on it with a key, and in another episode it was raced and badly damaged in a demolition derby. In the episode "Carlwash", it was badly damaged by what Meatwad refers to as "dumpster juice" (a combination of rainwater and garbage), cat urine, and hammers while Carl meanwhile was gassed, in a scheme by the "Carl" brain, and his son "Carl Jr." to enslave his brain. Meatwad has also lifted the car with telekinetic powers to give children flying car rides, and dropped it from the sky after becoming stupid once again.

Carl is a fan of classic rock and is known to have attended concerts of Styx, Foreigner, Chicago, Bryan Adams, Judas Priest, and Loverboy in the mid-80's. His favorite song is "More Than A Feeling" by Boston. In this vein, Carl wrote a song called "I Wanna Rock Your Body ('Til the Break of Dawn)," which he has only played via air guitar for a hooker. The Foreigner belt (an artifact that grants the wearer superpowers based on Foreigner lyrics) attained by the Mooninites was "from the '83 tour", according to Carl, who recalls the time during that tour when he fondled a passed-out girl when the Foreigner song "Urgent" was playing in the background, and to this day, whenever he hears the song on the radio, he thinks back to that girl's breasts all covered in vomit. He has also revealed that he owns a decades-old Ted Nugent "Cat Scratch Fever" loincloth worn on laundry days. He has his car smell like cocao butter, so that prositutes can feel welcome.
