There is another episode which contains this song. I don't know the titel of it, but it is the "blooper show" of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. At the end of the episode there is a scene where the whole crew (incuding the people who are working behind the scenes) is together. Then while this song is played Will, Carlton (and Nicky) are doing their famous dance and everybody's having a "party". Before that whole thing Will says something about that for 6 years they always get together before the show starts. |

Propably that's why that song is listed as a running gag. |

Carlton Banks was bi-curious?
Anyone else think that is wrong and should be removed from the article? 0nslaught 22:51, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
- I never heard of him being bi-curious. I just came to the discussion page to point that out. -Anonymous
What happened to Will?
The article seems to list what happened to all the characters in the season finale except Will, himself. The Banks went to the East Coast, if I'm reading right--does that include Will, and if so, why did he go? It's not that I'm particularly interested, but I figure this sort of stuff should be in the article. - Vague | Rant 02:44, May 15, 2005 (UTC)
- No, he bought an apartment so he could stay at college. --69.136.111.181 00:19, 26 July 2005 (UTC)
I like this use of the TV box
It lets us know who played whom, and when. Kudos! *goes to jack your style* --FuriousFreddy 22:05, 8 August 2005 (UTC)

"I, Ooh, Baby, Baby" Episode
Can anyone describe in detail this episode please? I'm trying to remember if I've seen it or not & I keep missing it on tv. Either that or they just aren't airing it. All the other descriptions I've found are too short & too vague.
Complete theme song
I deleted the sentence that said in syndication only episode 8 uses the full opening credits. I just saw it for episode 2. I am not sure which ones have it and which ones don't.
- Finished formatting and editing the complete theme song's lyrics. What was there before not only was incomplete (they missed out the very first verse of the song starting with "Now this is a story all about how..." etc.) it also had a number of errors in it (e.g. using "homes" instead of "holmes"). -- Jalabi99 05:57, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Jennifer Holliday?
Does anyone else think the Jennifer Holliday comment in the running gags section should be removed? I just don't understand how the two incidents are related to each other in kind (to qualify as a running gag), and the setup given in this article is too vague to make the nature of the gag, or why it was funny, clear. Can anyone else make sense of this?
Time to leave it alone
I've noticed it's been a long time since there has been a significant revision to this article, and the ones that have been made lately have almost always made the thing worse. Perhaps we should call it a day before people end up recounting every episode in the series to make points that don't need to be made (such as the addition about Geoffrey calling Will by his name in the final episode--does anyone think this maks that paragraph, or this article, better than it was?). All of you need to move on to Married... with Children, an article that actually needs help...
Nick at Nite
Does Nick at Night show all episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air? It seems that they are missing some from their lineup, possibly due to controversial issues. --66.153.178.253 22:01, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Is this the right lyric ?
"Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I liked to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air
In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys
Who were up to no good
Startin makin trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one lil fight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in bel Air'
I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my suite case and send me on my way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket.
I put my walkman on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.
First class, yo this is bad
Drinking orang juice out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of Bel-Air Living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.
But wait I hear the pricey booze, wine all that
Is Bel-Air the type of place they send this cool cat?
I don't think sow
I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Bel-Air
Well, the plane landed and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a cop and yelled my name out
I ain't trying to get arrested
I just got here
I sprang with the quickness like lightening, disappeared
I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I can say this cab is rare
But I thought 'Now forget it' - 'Yo holmes to Bel Air'
I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air"
If it is, can we use it on the article? Cheers.
Errors that are not errors.
"When Will first goes to Carlton's school, one of the other students tells him that it was an all boys' school, yet in the episode when Carlton accidentally mistakes drugs for vitamin E, they all have dates to the prom. This is explained in one episode in the third season, it is mentioned that Carlton's school has become coeducational."
I'm removing this as the fact that the school does not accept female students is irrelivant to having dates at a dance. I went to an all boys school and was never short of a date because of OTHER SCHOOLS!!. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ferdiaob (talk • contribs)
"In the season premiere for season five, there was no conclusion to Will's stay in Philadelphia. After the opening credits, Will is back at home and things return to normal with no reference to the Philadelphia trip."
This is also not true, at the start of Series 5, Will is working in a Cheese Stake shop in Philidelphia, and a network executive kidnaps him, and returns him to Bel-Air. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ferdiaob (talk • contribs)
question
How do you know the show the fresh prince of bel air show in other countries and the translations?Shirleybiscuit
Well, people from "other countries" have internet, too, and can edit wikipedia. For example, I am brazilian, and yes, Fresh Prince airs on SBT and is called "Um Maluco no Pedaço" here. But no more from monday to saturday, it's only at Saturdays at the moment. It have to be updated.
Yeah, you tell em person who forgot to sign his talk, love the "other countries" bit too, lol. --Ferdia O'Brien 01:23, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

I changed the references of Jackie being wills girlfriend to friend because that never really took off in the series. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ferdiaob (talk • contribs) 16:05, 4 January 2007 (UTC).

The Banks Mansion
Hi Everyone! Is the "Banks" mansion really existing in bel-air? If it is, I'd like to know where! If I remember right, in one episode Carlton is saying, that their house is next to the Spelling Mansion. In an another season Hilary is saying that their adress is 8225, St. Claire's road. Correct me if I'm wrong! Now I've found with Google Earth the Aaron Spelling mansion, but can't find anywhere near by the so called Banks's house. Please, if anyone is so deep into this like me, or is just an all-knowing fan, help me through this! :) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.183.108.41 (talk) 01:05, 27 February 2007 (UTC).
Apache?
Is Sugarhill Gang's "Apache" is listed as a running gag, but has it actually appeared in more than one episode? Everyone remembers the Vegas episode but (aside from the clip show) I don't remember hearing it again. Pumpkingrrl 04:43, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
