He attained brahmantatwa as well as his first born so his descendants (including koirala) are considered Brahmins. As per the purans the descendants were to be given the title of rajpurohits. Likewise were agnohotri Brahmins who worshipped the fire and is regarded as one of the hardest sect to follow. Such Brahmins in India have cast like agnihotri As per the Sumerian king list, rishi mudgal (different name in Sumer) was the first priest king of the Indus Valley civilization from the Phoenician lineage. Koirala ancestors maintained the agnihotri tradition in current Nepal for nearly 1500 years. Koirala goddess is bindabasini who is derived from kali who is regarded as one of the seven flickering tongue of Agni in rigveda. So even if the name changed over the centuries the main elemental aspects remained the same. Koirala are regarded as pure upadhayay brahmin with brahmin kshetriya qualities because of chandrabanshi lineage.
