OnMyRadar This was discussed before, and there is too much yo-yoing in this regard. Spears has 75 songwriting credits (mostly album tracks), incl. 7 songs on her most recent studio album 'Glory', hits such as 'Me Against the Music', 'Everytime', 'Work Bitch', 'Perfume' and 'Make Me...', the French single 'Anticipating', and she has one sole songwriting credit for the single ‘Someday (I Will Understand)’. For comparison, Billie Eilish has 86 songwriting credits (all co-written), only 11 more songs, and she’s considered a songwriter. Ava Max has about 40 credits and is considered a songwriter. Besides, the article mentions Spears’ development as such. Editors have no issue w/ this occupation listed for years, but one comes along and remove it without any discussion nor consensus. It's annoying, and it disturbs and misleads the article. Israell (talk) 23:50, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

Surrogacy

If Radar Online is RS, can this be used? Kailash29792 (talk) 05:25, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Radar Online is a gossip website. Even if this is true I don’t think it would be relevant unless and until she actually has or is expecting a child by surrogate. January (talk) 11:29, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 9 November 2022

Under 1Change "Lynne asked family friend and entertainment lawyer" to "Lynne asked entertainment lawyer".

The source provided for calling Larry Rudolph a family friend is misquoted.

"In June 1997, Spears was in talks with manager Lou Pearlman to join the female pop group Innosense. Lynne asked family friend and entertainment lawyer Larry Rudolph for his opinion and submitted a tape of Spears singing over a Whitney Houston karaoke song along with some pictures." Not sure Thanks for your attention to detail. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the source in question. Can someone verify what it says on p. 145? Actualcpscm (talk) 17:02, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Done I found a way to access the source. As far as I could tell, the source does not support the claim that Rudolph was a "family friend", at least in 1997. It should be noted that he became Spears' manager in 1998, after the Innosense talks. I will implement your edit, thanks for the request! Actualcpscm (talk) 13:29, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lot of depth here at vulture on the father. Jtbobwaysf (talk) 10:47, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Her second album gains a record for her debut sales? Doesn't debut mean the first?

Query under the "1998–2000: ...Baby One More Time and Oops!... I Did It Again" section where it says:

"Oops!... I Did It Again, Spears's second studio album, was released in May 2000. It debuted at number one in the US, selling 1.3 million copies, breaking the Nielsen SoundScan record for the highest debut sales by any solo artist."

I don't understand how her second album could break the Nielsen Soundscan record for the highest DEBUT sales by any solo artist. If it's her second album than it's not her debut album or her debut sales. Is there some way to clarify this because to me it reads as conflicting information.

The section states debut sales numbers of the album (the first week where it charts). This is not the same as the debut album of her career. 2A02:908:890:FFC0:0:0:0:49AB (talk) 16:53, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
