English pronunciation of last name

In every English speaking context she and everyone else pronounces her name as BI-bi RE-ksa and not RAY-jah

Just a few of quick examples: Stephen Colbert, MTV, People Besnikur (talk) 13:52, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Performed some IPA and {{respell}} cleanup. @Besnikur: please watch out how you transcribe English, as /i/ is only unstressed, while /æ/ can never occur at the end of an open syllable (and this is even the final one in the name). Read the help for more. 〜イヴァンスクルージ九十八[IvanScrooge98]会話 16:04, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@IvanScrooge98: thank you for fixing this. It was definitely a struggle figuring out the IPA rules. I don't think it's necessary to have the Albanian pronunciation. In Albanian there is no ambiguity in how the name is pronounced and the spelling has not been altered for English audiences. It can actually be confusing because the REksa pronunciation is something the artist has chosen for herself and not a proper transliteration of the word. As such it is more similar to the word Mexico, rather than a Spanish name like José (which uses Spanish phonetic rules). Anyway, I don't feel too strongly about it either way. Besnikur (talk) 14:40, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Besnikur: you are welcome. Concerning Albanian pronunciation, even though it is unambiguous, since we don’t expect readers to know the spelling rules a foreign language, I would leave it; especially now that we ascertained the English pronunciation differs in how the ⟨xh⟩ digraph is pronounced. All the best, 〜イヴァンスクルージ九十八[IvanScrooge98]会話 14:57, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

LGBT category

I'm wondering if she should be added to the LGBT-related categories, as she's described her sexuality as "fluid" with sources. Does anyone agree? Would this be a possible BLP violation?--GouramiWatcherTalk 21:29, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
