Emma Jill Appleton is an English actress and model who has appeared in Clique (2017), Traitors and The Witcher (2019), Intergalactic (2021), Pistol and Everything I Know About Love (2022).
Early life and education
Emma Jill Appleton was born and raised in Witney, Oxfordshire, England and attended West Witney Primary School and then Wood Green School.[1] Whilst at school, Drama was the only subject where Appleton felt that she excelled.[2]
Modelling
Appleton began a modelling career as a teenager,[3] modelling for Victoria Beckham, The Kooples, Margaret Howell and DAKS,[4] and advertising brands such as Fred Perry, Toni & Guy, Rimmel, and Converse.[2]
Acting
She progressed to acting in 2016 with her first acting role was as Pixie in the short film Dreamlands.[5] In 2017, an opportunity opened for the cast of the BBC Three series Clique where she played the role of Fay Brookstone for 6 episodes.[6][1] In 2017 she appeared in the first series of The End of the F***ing World as Kelly.[7]
In 2019, Appleton landed a major role was as Feef Symonds in six episodes of Channel 4's spy thriller Traitors.[2] In December 2019, Appleton played the role of Princess Renfri,[8] alongside Henry Cavill in the Netflix fantasy drama series The Witcher.[1][9][10]
In 2021, Appleton guest-starred as Mya Miller in two episodes of the British science fiction television series Intergalactic.[11][12]
In 2022, Appleton had a brief appearance as Nancy Spungen in the Danny Boyle-directed miniseries Pistol,[4] and played a lead role in the China Moo-Young directed adaption of the Dolly Alderton memoir Everything I Know About Love, alongside Bel Powley.[13]
Appleton plays a main role as Thomasina in the upcoming sci-fi feature film LOLA, where two sisters attempt to change their fate with a machine that can obtain information from the future.[14][15]
