The Catch is a Channel 5 and My5 four-part drama series adapted by Michael Crompton[1] from the novel of the same name written by T.M.Logan, published in 2020.[2] Starring Jason Watkins as Ed Collier (dad), Aneurin Barnard as Ryan "The Catch" (boyfriend), Poppy Gilbert as Abbie Collier (daughter), and Cathy Belton as Claire Collier (mum). The first episode was broadcast on Channel 5 and My5 in the UK on 25 January 2023.

Filming
The Catch was filmed during the summer of 2022, Robert Quinn was the director.[3] Even though the setting for the drama is based on the west of England, the actual filming reportedly took place in Dublin, Ireland.[4] The Colliers house was supposedly once the house of former Irish president, Paddy Hillery.[4]

The series is yet to appear on critic site Rotten Tomatoes.
