- March 2: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Turkey, the HES Code application, which had been implemented since April 10, 2020, and the obligation to wear masks in open areas were lifted as a result of the Coronavirus Scientific Advisory Board meeting held on March 2, 2022. However, the Advisory Board announced that the HES Code application would continue in public transport and the use of masks in closed areas will continue.[8]
- March 9: Israeli President Isaac Herzog meets Erdoğan in Ankara, in what is perceived to be a renewal of relations between Israel and Turkey, which have been poor since 2010.[9]
- March 10: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba discussed the Russian-Ukrainian War in Antalya. Negotiations on ending the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the evacuation of civilians and a ceasefire were not fruitful.[10]
- March 18: The Kınalı-Balıkesir Motorway, which the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge is a part of, was put into service.[11]
