Buses running through Marpole Loop en route to the southern suburbs commonly use these suburban coach buses.

Marpole Loop is the southern-most major transit exchange in the city of Vancouver. Part of the TransLink system, it is mainly home to express routes travelling to Greater Vancouver's southern suburbs: Richmond, Surrey, Delta and White Rock. Marpole Loop's lone east-west route travels through Burnaby, Richmond and New Westminster.

Structure and location

Marpole Loop's main portion, with the Arthur Laing Bridge on-ramps above it.

Marpole Loop is under the northern foot of the Arthur Laing Bridge which connects Vancouver to Richmond's Vancouver International Airport. It is on Southwest Marine Drive, just south of Granville Street, one of Vancouver's major north-south roads. Part of the exchange is located on Marine Drive itself, and part of it is located in an area separated from regular traffic. Because of this arrangement, the loop covers a large area; TransLink maps sometimes designate part of the loop as Hudson & Marine to avoid confusion.

The loop is located next to the new Vancouver Transit Centre, which replaced the Oakridge Transit Centre in September 2006. The transit depot houses the city of Vancouver's public transit fleet. Marpole Loop can accommodate trolley buses, regular length diesel buses and articulated buses.
