"The Disconnect"

"The Disconnect" is the ninth episode of the third season FOX television series, The O.C.. The episode was written by Stephanie Savage and was directed by Tony Wharmby. It originally aired on Thursday, December 8, 2005.

Plot

Template:Spoiler Marissa drops by Johnny's house before school to help him prepare for a day of doing nothing since he needs to get better from his accident. She offers to come back after school but Johnny tries to get rid of her since he feels uncomfortable around her. Johnny's mother, Gwen, an earthy-spiritted woman in her 30s. She was able to get an appointment for her son to meet a famous doctor but the appointment is in months, which could mean that Johnny will not be part of the tour. Marissa has an idea to have Johnny meet the doctor earlier. Julie and Kirsten want to start a business together (maybe catering). The two of them get a contract to do a dinner at someone's house. Summer, Seth and a few students meet a representative from Brown and learn that usually Brown takes only one student from Harbor. At the Newport Group, Sandy and a man named Matt meet with potential investors while Ryan is in the room.
