Fort Bragg disambiguation page
I've started a discussion to make Fort Bragg a redirect for Fort Bragg, North Carolina and moving the content of Fort Bragg to Fort Bragg (disambiguation). Please head over to Talk:Fort Bragg, North Carolina to join in on the discussion. --Bobblehead 16:02, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Listing of city officials
Having separate entries seems a bit excessive. It might be one thing to list the entire city council; quite the other to have individual entries. No other city in California to the best of my knowledge has entries like this city. Ronbo76 03:01, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I agree. Furthermore, the entries are out of date--Baltierra is no longer a councilmember, and Turner is no longer mayor. If there are no objections, we should consolidate this article into perhaps one paragraph. Also, the bit about glass beach at the end of the article in which the article instructs the reader to be careful when approaching the shore seems awkward and un-encyclopedic. I will try to edit this article. Jasper124c41 05:30, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
new college in Fort bragg
they are currently in the process of building a new college. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.117.9.216 (talk) 00:00, August 21, 2007 (UTC)
Suggestions for page improvement
Readers could benefit from knowing a good deal more about the town: how to get there, the major industries (tourism, fishing, logging?), what's available for tourists (fishing, lots of bookstores, the Skunk railroad, massive botanical garden, lighthouse), weather conditions, etc. The article as it stands doesn't say very much characteristic. Also, it shows the Pudding Creek Trestle without explaining what it is (and was) for, and that it's currently not there, in the sense of being incomplete and impassible under reconstruction.Alpha Ralpha Boulevard 06:53, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Main Photo
The main photo on the page is of Noyo Harbor, which is not part of Fort Bragg. It might be that there would be a photo of Fort Bragg that would be better to use there Gam3 (talk) 06:15, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
- My understanding is that the Fort Bragg city limits come within a block of the harbor bluff, so the right hand portion of the photo is in the city limits. Please correct me if I am wrong. There are other photos in the article too. You are welcome to add a better freely licensed photo to Wikimedia Commons, and substitute it for the current photo. Fort Boundaries
The statement "the last remaining building of the Fort Bragg military post is located at 430 North Franklin Street" confuses me. That address falls outside of the boundaries of the fort as described in the subsequent paragraph. Can anyone clarify if this building was in fact outside of the fort boundaries?
