Welcome, Giltsbeach!
Welcome to Wikipedia, Giltsbeach! I'm I dream of horses, and I've been assigned as your mentor. Around 10% of new Wikipedia accounts receive a mentor randomly taken from a list of volunteers. It just means I'm here to help with anything you need! We need to have all kinds of people working together to create an online encyclopedia, so I'm glad you're here. Over time, you will figure out what you enjoy doing the most on Wikipedia.
You might have noticed that you have access to a tutorial and suggested edits. It's recommended that you take advantage of this, as it'll make learning how to edit Wikipedia easier.
If you need assistance with anything or have any questions, click on the "Get editing help" button on the bottom right corner of your screen. This will open up a module with links to help pages and a place to ask me questions. You can also ask me questions directly on my talk page, or go here to get help from the wider community.
Again, welcome to Wikipedia! I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 17:24, 23 March 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Rule of tincture—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 02:47, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Sable (heraldry), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you would like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Jalen Folf (talk) 07:04, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Sable (heraldry), you may be blocked from editing. Jalen Folf (talk) 07:12, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Sable (heraldry) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - Stop your disingenuous edit warring. Mako001 (C) (T) 🇺🇦 07:21, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Mako001: The issue here is over this user's unexplained removal of a sourced section in the process of adding other sourced material. The user claims I am accusing them of template removal, which is not the case, and I have provided very clear links in warnings above to diffs of their edits, which they seem to have ignored. Gilts, your material could have easily been added without removing other material. Jalen Folf (talk) 07:24, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! MaterialWorks (contribs) 17:16, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 14
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of oldest heraldry, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Garb. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:02, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
