The shortened term "telecomms equipment" with the "s" is not used in the United States. The shortened term in en_us is "telecomm equipment". A Google search for the two terms shows that the Google index prefers "telecomm equipment" over "telecomms equipment" 5 to 1. The term "telecomms" is still used in the US to shorten "telecommunications" by itself. |
