Hi Joy1963, I have formatted the poets in a table, which is easier to read. It seems there are two poets listed as the composer of Pada 4. Could you please verify the correct information. Thanks. [[User:Chaipau|Chaipau]] 13:37, 7 July 2007 (UTC) |

Hi, and welcome to the India WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of India.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Please participate in any of our descendant workgroups that might interest you.
- The project has a bimonthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered in its entirety, but several other formats are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every India article in Wikipedia.
- Can you code? The automation department uses automated and semi-automated methods to perform batch tasks that would be tedious to do manually.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! — Lost(talk) 18:15, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

As mentioned in Wikiproject India newsletter of March 2007, the weekly collaboration of the Indian wikiproject has fallen from its once high feats. This message is to request the users to visit the collaboration page and help rejuvenate it.
The present collaboration of the week is Religion in India. Please go through the talk page of the article to see the proposed changes in the article. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 05:39, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Navgachia District
An editor has nominated Navgachia District, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Navgachia District and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. A tag has been placed on Vishnu Sakharam Khandekar, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ≈ The Haunted Angel 19:18, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

Duplicate images uploaded
Thanks for uploading Image:Warli painting in Warli.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Warli.JPG. The copy called Image:Warli.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot (talk) 18:00, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Parisista
What is SC Chakrabarti's 2004 paper in JoAS about? Is it a review of Kashikar's monograph (BORI 1994)? Modak's book is from about the same time (1993) and he gives a different set of names (with an order). I had intended to add them, but I'll have to look at Kashikar's book first. What I'd like to check in particular is that, as I understand it, while by later times, anything that could claim to be a parisista of the SYV was (naturally) attributed to Katyayana, the Katiya Parisista per se consists of 18 "books". (There are also some spelling discrepancies, btw.) rudra (talk) 11:27, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the confirmation. I've left some notes on the talk page. I may have trouble tracking down Chakrabarti's paper, as there is more than one Asiatic Society, and there were several versions of the Journal of the Asiatic Society in the past (Calcutta, Bombay)!
Is this the one in Mumbai?(<-- Sorry, didn't pay enough attention.) rudra (talk) 15:11, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Somesvara III
Hi. I noticed your information regarding the king's Sanskrit writing, Manasollasa. Please provide a citation and reference from which you derived this information. BTW, I am aware that this is one of the famous Sanskrit writings, an encyclopaedia, from Southern India. Thanks for this useful update.Dineshkannambadi (talk) 19:25, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Otto Manninen, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.kirjasto.sci.fi/ottoman.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 11:01, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
