AnaCap Financial Partners ('AnaCap') is a private equity firm advising funds that invest in Software, Technology and Services within the European financial ecosystem.
History
AnaCap was founded in 2005.[1] The firm launched its debut fund in 2006, when it raised €300 million and has since raised €2.7 billion across 4 private equity funds and various co-investment vehicles. AnaCap’s funds have attracted a global investor base including institutions such as Goldman Sachs and Allianz.[2]
Private Equity
The firm’s strategy is to invest in Software, Technology and Services within the European financial ecosystem. AnaCap focus on supporting founders, entrepreuners and managers with a highly specialised sector approach in the European lower mid-market. This strategy is specifically targeted towards companies with a high propensity and opportunity for both organic and inorganic growth.
AnaCap's investment decisions are driven by extensive operational knowledge and leveraging deep sector expertise.
Credit Opportunities
In July 22, Anacap announced the carve out of the credit business into an independent advisory firm called Veld Capital, which has resulted in Anacap focusing exclusively on its private equity strategy. [3]
Leadership
As of January 1st 2023, Joe Giannamore became Group Executive Chairman with Nassim Cherchali and Tassilo Arnhold promoted to the position of Co-Managing Partners.
Cherchali and Arnhold will continue to lead the private equity investment strategy and execution of the business while also focusing on the continued build-out and growth of the AnaCap private equity franchise overall.
Giannamore’s day-to-day operational, strategic development activities and investment recommendation committee roles remain unchanged. Giannamore will continue to support the execution of AnaCap’s core strategy across Europe, backing talented entrepreneurs and driving growth through technology enabled operational transformation and sector consolidation.[4]
