Cathy returns from the US to apply for a modeling agency and to donate her inherited property to her tenants in accordance with her grandmother's wishes. She meets with his uncle Facundo, who tells her that he intends to sell off the property, to which he has a share, and asks for her permission, to which she says she is too busy to attend to. Her uncle offers to host her in his house in an affluent neighborhood but she insists on staying with her aunt Agnes and gay cousin Tino/Tina, who live in a working-class neighborhood that has sprung up in the property. On her way to her aunt, she rear-ends a jeepney driven by Nanding, leading to an argument with her, which is complicated by Nanding not being able to comprehend Cathy's English. Cathy charms the police into having Nanding jailed before arriving at Agnes' place. Nanding is later bailed out by his friends. While resting at their garage, Nanding sees Cathy jogging, and is told by his friends that she is living in the same neighborhood as him. Cathy encounters Nanding and is shocked that he has been released. She gets into another argument with him but goes off after they fail to understand each other again due to the language barrier. While driving, Nanding runs into Cathy, who figures in a road accident. Seeing her being bullied by the occupants of the car she crashed with, he fights them off. Cathy's attitudes change and after Tino tells her that Nanding is actually a good-hearted person, she resolves to make amends. |

Plot
Cathy's attitudes change and after Tino tells her that Nanding is actually a good-hearted person, she resolves to make amends.
Tino arranges for the two to meet, with Cathy apologizing to Nanding in Tagalog. Over dinner, Nanding and Cathy bond and reach an understanding over what initially happened, along with Tino and Nanding's friend Steve. As they leave to fetch a group of club workers led by Digna, they inadvertently leave with diamonds stolen by professional criminals Frankie and Maxie, who had hidden their loot inside Nanding's jeepney. However, Cathy finds Digna spiking her drink and confronts her before escaping the house and the goon. On the run, she finds Nanding and embraces him before sharing a kiss.
Facundo and Digna arrange for Cathy to be abducted by goons led by Frankie and Maxie and held until she signs away the papers to the property, after which she is to be killed.
