War 2 is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Ayan Mukerji and written by Aditya Chopra. Produced by Yash Raj Films, film is the sequel to War (2019) and the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Sharvari Wagh and N. T. Rama Rao Jr..
Siddharth Anand, writter and director of first film confirmed that he was working on the script of its sequel and had plans to convert the film into a franchise, depending on the audience response to the film.[1] In March 2023, a sequel was confirmed entitled War 2 and Ayan Mukerji will direct the sequel replacing Anand who will now direct Tiger Vs Pathaan.[2]
