Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro (Private Evil-Eye Nōgami Neuro) is a supernatural detective manga series created by mangaka Yūsei Matsui within the anthology Weekly Shonen Jump. The series is about a demon who has come to the human world, in search of the ultimate mystery and choosing to become a detective in order to "eat it". The series is currently running within Jump since Issue 12, 2005 (February 21, 2005) and currently has run 9 volumes.
On November 6, 2006 a Drama CD was released starring Takehito Koyasu as Neuro and Kana Ueda as Yako. An anime version has also been announced.
Story
The protagonist of the fictional story is Yako Katsuragi. Yako Katsuragi's father was murdered in a locked room. The mystery plunges Yako's life into chaos until she meets a man named Neuro Nougami. Neuro wishes to eat the ultimate "mystery".
But he can't publicly solve mysteries, because he's from the world downstairs. So he "convinces" Yako to act the part of a detective, while he does all the real solving.
