This article is a mess. Quite a few sources are first-party twitter and youtube links. Unless secondary sources can be found I'm removing all first-party linked information.[[User:Jbmcb|Jbmcb]] ([[User talk:Jbmcb|talk]]) 01:18, 24 June 2023 (UTC)

Painter claim to be a longtime Republican

Despite the claim made by Painter that he was a Republican for 30 years, there is ample evidence that he was a Democrat from his college days through his candidacy in Minnesota. I see nothing in the article that supports his claim and believe it should be deleted as misleading.65.30.194.121 (talk) 14:39, 28 February 2022 (UTC)Fredric Dennis Williams[reply]

Update needed: Emolument Clause lawsuit against Donald Trump

This subsection is no longer accurate and needs to be updated. It still says that CREW's appeal of the dismissal is pending in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. That changed in 2018. The case was reinstated and sent back to the lower court before eventually being dismissed as moot at the direction of SCOTUS when Trump left office. The main Wikipedia article for the case is up to date and has citations that could be used here.Metrowestjp (talk) 14:37, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
