Giliki(Gileki) is neither a dialect of Persian nor a branch of Pahlavi. It has a separate grammer from both languages. Over the past decades, there were extensive restrictions regarding teaching, using in mass media and officially using it. Therefore, Gileki language has been gradually disolved in official languae. In addition, Gilani parrents prefer to speak "farsi" instead of their own language to their childeren. That is why Gileki language it is currently dying off.

I am aware of the existence of Kalhors in Gilan. I have no evidences whether they still speak it, Some accounts speak also of Kurdish migrations to Gilan. This should also be checked, and seen whether by this the Kurds proper (Sorani/ Kurmanji-speakers) were meant or Gorani or Laki speakers. This is important for idenitifying the language. The writer of this article is a "Pan Farsist". That is why it contains a lot of
false information and also lacks many essential facts about Gilan.
