Cheese (character)
Find me a source on the web that attributes autism to Cheese, and I'll take off the OR tag myself. Roehl Sybing 02:09, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
:Look at the article on autism, and tell me how it's NOT Cheese. The way he acts is of an autism child, and the fact that he is extremely skilled at audio memorization is an autistic trait. I have experience with autistic children. An acquaintance of mine works with autistic children, and when I pointed out Cheese to her, she said it's most definite. As for sources, if you're that passionate about it, I'll find some. I just hope this isn't some political correctness thing. Black Kat 21:45, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
::Political correctness is a red herring, and claiming PC only distracts from addressing actual problems. Wikipedia requires that all information be sourced or attributable, and unless that policy changes, everything that is not readily sourced or attributable is original research, which falls beneath the standards of Wikipedia. So unless there's a magazine article or website page (or an episode in Foster's Home itself) that says that Cheese is autistic, simply saying so doesn't make it credible enough to place in the character's article. Roehl Sybing 12:56, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
::It also troubles me that you've used the same argument (PC) twice on this issue. It is, on the whole, not wise to engage in this kind of attack on fellow editors, as it strains credibility. Kindly look at WP:AGF and WP:NPA for the relevant Wikipedia guidelines regarding good faith and personal attacks. Roehl Sybing 16:18, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
:::And since when did I use personal attacks? I said I hope this isn't PC. Besides that, it links to autism, which describes what it is. To source him actually being called "autistic" is overdoing the whole thing. They want sources for things like one of the writers saying Cheese is autistic as a fact. I said that he acts as if he is autistic. I've seen many articles describing the personas of characters without putting actual outside links. I think that you are taking this way too literal. As long as it links to autism to describe his actions, along with the fact that I said he acts as if he is autistic, then that's what is needed. I use the same reasoning twice because that's what I have to go by. I personally think you are taking this whole thing too personally and too overemotional. Black Kat 16:02, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
::::Your characterization of my motives is both inaccurate and irrelevant, and your failure to assume good faith really is a poor distraction. WP:OR is also supported by the guidelines set in WP:NOT. Whether they are facts or analysis, if it is not readily sourced or attributable, it does not belong on Wikipedia. This is the policy because Wikipedia should not be a primary source for anyone to quote to reference. Find me a proper source or a Wikipedia policy that convincingly supports your argument besides "anyone who disagrees with me takes this stuff way too seriously," and I'll back down. Roehl Sybing 01:15, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
:::::I didn't say disagreeing with me is taking it seriously, I said you're taking this situation way too seriously. Which, by the way you're acting, I'm seeing you are getting quite emotional over something that could be easily discussed. As for Cheese, I described him as having traits of a person with autism, just like someone said Mr. Herriman has OCD traits. Both are true. If you watch Cheese, his personality is that of an autistic child, which makes sense to describe him as acting autistic in Wikipedia since it is his domiant persona, whether he is or not (which personally, I don't think he is autistic, just acts like it). Try not to accuse one of things so quickly as you are so doing. Black 20:23, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
::::::You're the one throwing around the accusations of being PC or being too serious. Neither of which is true, nor relevant, and this will be the last time I say as much. Find a source, or a Wikipedia policy. Or are you, in fact, choosing to ignore the relevant policies and guidelines I referenced? Roehl Sybing 05:31, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
:::::::Hard to say, you're the one getting angry. If you weren't so serious, you wouldn't be going to this extreme of having to source this when it's obvious. To me it came as being PC, though it was more from Irish-whatsherface. I also said earlier to you I hope it isn't PC, not that you obviously are. As for a source, if you don't agree with me that he has autistic personality traits, then you probably don't know what autism is. Black 20:34, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Why

On Scoutmaster Algonquin C. Lumpus, you changed Lumpus's eye color from yellow to brown? Why? Squirepants101 20:53, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

His eyes are brown...he said so himself. They appear to be yellow because he wears glasses. There have been times his glasses would slide down from his eyes, and they would no longer have the yellow tint to them. Black Kat 23:15, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with images

Taking a screenshot doe not make it free to do what you want with it. You are making a duplicate of a copyrighted work, and as such, the orignal copyright still applies. The image will probably be delted shortly. Jay32183 02:12, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, what I did was mistakingly credited it wrong. As long as it's mine, it is freely used. Otherwise, there wouldn't be so many screenshots for the whole show. Duh. Black Kat 23:16, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
