Sorry for everything I have done wrong here. No really, I don't have a clue what I am doing, so I have probably made a lot of mistakes and maybe broken a few rules. Any complaints should go to my talk page, where I will read them probably within a few hours, and reply to all of them with in a few weeks.

hello

Until I have got round to arranging this page, which could be in a few years time, I will just use this area to write a few notes. This is mostly just so I remember them, but also so people can read this and have some idea of what I am like.

My name is Oliver. I live in a small village on an island in the middle of the sea. But I hope to move to Langstone Student Village (Portsmouth) later this year. I am 18 now, but still can't vote as there aren't any elections here for another few years. I have done very little on Wikipedia so far, mostly as almost everything I know comes from here.

I tend to be logical, but my logic usually seems wrong, as I think differently to most people. I have a lot of oppinions about most things, but as most of these disagree with some of my other opinions, they tend to cancel out. I have no talents, very few hobbies and spend most of my time waiting to find something to do.

I am also creative and have good ideas, but I am very bad at doing anything about them, or even articulating what my ideas are. It seems like I think in a different language to what I talk in, and find it difficult to translate between them. And I am very sceptical. If someone says to me 'You can't do that, it's impossible' I don't belive them, until I have either worked out why it is really impossible, or done whatever it was myself.

I like most things and rarely have favorites of evertything, but there are a lot of things I don't like either- politics, modern technology, physics, 'healthy' food, and lots of other little things, especially things that have changed recently. I also don't use .s when answering questions on the reference desk, and use :),:(,:],:?and :@ instead. I am not sure exactly what the last one means.

I could write like this for a while, as I don't like talking much and therefore rarely have a chance to tell anyone anything about myself. But I think I will stop now and leave the rest until I have found a way to organise everything I have done so far.

One last thing. Can anyone tell me how to get pictures on here?

Hello.

This is my page, all about me. So...

My name is Oliver. I am 18 years old. I live in a little village on an island in the middle of the sea. That makes it sould really isolated doesn't it, but Birchingotn isn't that bad. And I might be moving soon, possible to either Southsea or Langstone, both also on an island. I hope to go to university there and study Architecture. This might be difficult as I have absolutely no qualifications in any sort of Art. [A picture of me will go around here somewhere when I have found a camera.]

My Hobbies

More about Me

So I don't have any hobbies. When I am not at college, I either read books, read Wikipedia or sit and wait for something to happen. Really I don't have a life. But usefully I never seem to get bored with anything, even sitting and doing nothing.

Almost all of my time on the internet is spent on Wikipedia Reference Desks, which is also where almost all of my edits are.

Another thing about me is that I don't like waiting too long to do something, but don't like doing anything now. So i spend a lot of time thinking 'I should be doing [whatever] now, but not actually doing it, and I am also almost always part of the way through trying to do lots of things at the same time.

And finally there is my personallity. As you may have guessed by now I don't have one. Unless this counts:

Even More Stuff

I am: Skeptical: If someone tells me something is impossible, I often don't believe them and have to try it myself.

Pedantic and Facetious: Not absolutely certain what these mean, but I have a vague idea and it seems to be what I am like.

Annoying: I like annoying other people, making unhelpful comments, being sarcastic &c.

Passive: I don't correct other peoples mistakes, and hate making any myself, and I don't do anything that other people wouldn't like, except annoying them sometimes.

my abbreviations

Lots of people on the internet use abbreviations that I sometimes have trouble understanding, and those that I use are often different from other peoples, so I thought I would make it easier for everyone and explain them here

AFAICT: As Far As I Can Tell, I don't claim to know anything.

TWTAG: The Way Things Are Going, ie if everything is that same then as it is now.

&c: etc, I'm sure you know what this means.

so's: so that, don't ask.
