Quick googling reveals that [http://www.farallones.org/e_newsletter/issue_01/article_5.htm] and [http://www.tmmc.org/learning/education/whales/humpback.asp] think it should be 1991, so I'm changing to that. The first refers only to unconfirmed reports, but the second disagrees, so I'll leave that for now [[User:131.111.8.99|131.111.8.99]] 17:03, 7 June 2006 (UTC) |

2001? or 1991?
It says Humphrey was sighteded near the islands in 2001 in the first paragraph. But in a subsequent paragraph it says 1991 Both times it says it was the last time he was sighted....anyone know which one is the real one?
Quick googling reveals that [1] and [2] think it should be 1991, so I'm changing to that. The first refers only to unconfirmed reports, but the second disagrees, so I'll leave that for now 131.111.8.99 17:03, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Capitalisation
Shouldn't this be "Humphrey the Whale" as it is a proper noun? --Oldak Quill 20:23, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Pop Culture references
there is a song called "humphrey the whale" by MC Lars, a little known "rapper." The song goes "Humphrey the Whale should have/get GPS." and a warning for the whale about the dangers of swimming in fresh water. Just though I would throw that out there, wasn't sure if it had been noted before. Jlricherson 05:46, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
