:: It's a badly worded (even 8 years later), but it's a sensation so it can be accompanied with or without dysphagia, although usually it isn't. Or rather, if someone is presenting with difficulty swallowing and a globus sensation, they're labelled with dysphagia, not globus pharyngis, if that makes sense. Outdated Suggestion

I removed this from the article:

"Psychoanalyst Carl Jung alleged that globus is widely known to come from swallowed tears. (from "Die Struktur der Seele", 1928.)"

It's clearly outdated. I think it is not worth retaining. Robert Brockway 05:53, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Correct Spelling

I've seen this spelled "Globus Pharyngeus", which is correct? Kevink707 (talk) 16:20, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Incosistency

The first section states that globus sensation is not dysphagia. The next paragraph, however, clearly refers to dysphagia as its cause. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.252.115.250 (talk) 14:42, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
