The 2023 Telangana legislative assembly election is scheduled to be held in or before December 2023 to elect all 119 members of the state's Legislative Assembly.[1][2]
Background
The tenure of Telangana Legislative Assembly is scheduled to end on 16 January 2024.[3] The previous assembly elections were held in December 2018 and the incumbent Telangana Rashtra Samithi, which was later renamed as Bharat Rashtra Samithi, formed the state government, with K. Chandrashekar Rao becoming the Chief Minister for the second time.[4]
