Modesinuola Ogundiwin is a Nigerian actress, known for her role as Kanyinsola Adeleke on the Showmax original Nigerian telenovela series Wura. On 24 December 2016, she was announced the winner of the twelfth edition of the Next Movie Star reality show.[1]
Early life and career
Modesinuola Ogundiwin hails from Ogun State, Nigeria. She has a twin sister named Mowasinuola. In 2015, she began her career as an entertainment blogger; reviewing music and movie, while using a blogger sub-domain http://atokede.blogspot.com/. Prior to 2016, she became in-active and took part in the Next Movie Star, a discovery show for new talents in the acting profession. In the same year, she was announced the winner of the twelfth edition of the show.[1] In 2018, she debut her Nollywood film Trauma, produced by her.
In 2021, she made her first acting debut on Iwa Eda, a Rok Studios tv drama.[2] In the same year, she was recruited by Ndani TV, to join the drama series Rumour Has It, third season as Amara.[3] In 2023, she was recruited by the casting director of Wura, a Showmax original telenovela, where she played Kanyinsola Adeleke. Following her role in Wura, she became a controversial topic by fans of the series following her resemblance with the lead actor Scarlet Gomez, who was her stepmother.
On 8 July 2023, Modesinuola starred in Romoke's Demon, a Rok Studios tv drama premiered on Rok2.[4]
