College career

Stony Brook

Morver joined the Seawolves as a walk-on freshman, previously committing to the university as an atmospheric science major. Beginning the season as the third-string quarterback, he would be promoted to starter after injuries to starter Jason McCarmby and backup Quentin Moore. His first season as a starter would be disastrous, as the Seawolves would go 2-9 over Morver's first season. Despite his poor passing statistics and team record, Morver set school records for rushing yards and touchdowns by a quarterback, with 685 and 11, respectively.

With both quarterbacks transferring, Morver returned as the starter for a Seawolves team led by fledgling head coach Arthur Scenn. Despite a significant decrease in turnovers by Morver, the Seawolves would again struggle, posting a 2-10 record fueled by a six-game losing streak to end the season.

Retaining his trust in Morver, Scenn entered his second year as the head coach with Morver as the starting quarterback. The Seawolves improved, going 4-8 as Morver broke his own record with 13 rushing touchdowns to pair with 11 passing touchdowns and 2,743 passing yards.

Morver's senior year would be the most famous of his tenure as Stony Brook's starting quarterback, despite the Seawolves regressing to an abysmal 1-11 record. On September 8, 2028, Morver led the Seawolves to a massive upset over the #1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, throwing for 374 yards and 2 touchdowns to pair with an additional 43 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground. This is the first time an FCS team had ever defeated a #1 seed in FBS. Statistically, this was Morver's most productive year, posting career highs in passing yards, touchdowns, and completion percentage. His 515 pass attempts led the FCS.

Morver would graduate with honors from Stony Brook as the school's all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns.

Oregon State

Colin would join the Oregon State Beavers as a graduate student, again becoming the starting quarterback following a stellar training camp performance and an injury to starter Jonathan Mahan.

His one and only season with the Beavers would see him enter college football history with a legendary 2029 campaign, posting 27 passing touchdowns, 12 rushing touchdowns, and 4,400 total yards as the Beavers turned an undefeated regular season into a national championship title, defeating the Colorado State Rams in a 24-0 shutout during the quarterfinals, a juggernaut Oregon squad 32-20 in the semifinals, and the heavily-favored Georgia Bulldogs 28-20 in the penultimate game. Morver finished the season 3rd in passing yards per attempt, 4th in completion percentage, and 1st in passer rating. He was the first quarterback since Matt Blundin of Virginia to complete a full season as a starter without a turnover, also setting national records for passing touchdowns and yards in a season without an interception. He was also the first quarterback to average 10+ yards per attempt on both passing and running plays. He would be named third-team All-American and first-team All-Big XII at the end of the season, breaking every school record for single-season passing efficiency marks.

Morver would graduate with a Master of Science degree two months after winning the national championship.
