Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (born 8 July 2003) is a French tennis player.

Mpetshi Perricard has a career high ATP singles ranking of 206 achieved on 31 July 2023. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of 613 achieved on 25 July 2022.[2]

Junior Career

Mpetshi Perricard won the 2021 French Open boys' doubles title, partnering with Arthur Fils.[1] He reached the semi-finals of the singles tournament, losing to doubles partner Arthur Fils.[3]

Professional Career

2023: ATP tour debut, Grand Slam debut, First Challenger win

Mpetshi Perricard won his first ATP Challenger singles title at the 2023 León Open defeating Juan Pablo Ficovich in the finals.

He received a wildcard for the 2023 French Open for his Grand Slam debut, losing in the first round to Genaro Alberto Olivieri.[4]

In June 2023, Mpetshi Perricard made his ATP Tour debut at the Rosmalen Open as a qualifier, losing in the first round to Jordan Thompson.

Personal life

Mpetshi Perricard is the son of the semi-professional footballer Ghislain Mpetshi. His younger sister Daphnée also plays tennis. Through his father he is of DR Congolese descent.[5]
