Goud is a dalit caste of peasants from the Indian states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. They are traditionally involved in toddy tapping.[2] However, they are also involved in many modern occupations, most disgusting work such as street sweeping and sewer cleaning. Some Gouds are involved in toilet cleaning. Gouds are rapidly developing to modern life. However, Goud women lag behind in development.[3]
