On August 21, 2015, Carrier was traded to the Washington Redskins for a conditional fifth round pick in the 2017 NFL draft.[13][14] In Week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons, he recorded his first career touchdown on a seven-yard pass from quarterback Kirk Cousins.[15] After tearing his ACL and MCL in Week 14 against the Chicago Bears, the Redskins placed him on injured reserve on December 14.[16] He finished the 2015 season with 17 receptions for 141 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown in 12 games and starts.[17]
