The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is headed by the Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship who is occasionally assisted by the Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship who is the junior minister in the ministry. The first minister was [[Sarbananda Sonowal]] who was the Minister of State (Independent Charge) and served between 26 May and 9 November 2014. The ministry aims to remove the disconnect between demand and supply of skilled manpower, to build the new skills and innovative thinking not only for existing jobs but also for jobs that are to be created.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is headed by the Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship who is occasionally assisted by the Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship who is the junior minister in the ministry. The first minister was Sarbananda Sonowal who was the Minister of State (Independent Charge) and served between 26 May and 9 November 2014. The current minister is Dharmendra Pradhan[3] while the minister of state is Rajeev Chandrashekhar.

  • Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana
  • UDAAN, a Special Industry Initiative for J&K
  • Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP), to support entrepreneurs in rural areas to set-up enterprises at the village-level in non-agricultural sectors.[5]
