Sumithra Kamaraj (born 5 July 1994)[1] is an Indian women's professional footballer footballer from Jharkhand. She plays as a midfielder/forward for Sethu FC in the Indian Women's League and represented the India women's national football team for the 2020 AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament.[2]

Sumithra grew up in an orphanage in Tamil Nadu where she fell in love with football.[1]

Football career

In 2016-17, Sumithra played for the Jeppier Institute in the IWL. In 2018, she Joined Sethu FC. In April 2022, she was part of the Indian team that toured Jordan to play two matches agains Egypt and Jordan.[3]
