7. Length

In the introduction the length of the epos is compared to other religious texts from the India and the Ancient Greece. Why not add that it is 4 times longer than the Bible (OT+NT) and x times longer than the Quran?

The Swedish Wiki page contains this fascinating tidbit. Few people can readily grasp the voluminous text by comparing it to the Iliad or other Indian texts. Verificity (talk) 20:08, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Adding an image of the god Krishna acting as a charioteer to Arjuna in the battle of the Bhagavad Gita

Image would be best placed beneath the current image 'Krishna and Arjuna at Kurukshetra, 18th–19th-century painting' on the right hand side of the introductory section. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:M_134_Short.png with caption please. HelenaB77 (talk) 15:18, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Change: one of the two important epics of Hinduism, the other being the Rāmāyaṇa. to: one of the two important epics of Hinduism, known as the Itihasas (history), the other being the Rāmāyaṇa.

This article is not complete without mentioning what category it falls under in Hindu text. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_texts https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itihasa Askashmani (talk) 06:00, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Change mentions of Bhishma as the Pandavas "grandfather" to the correct "great-uncle" as he was simply the step-brother of their actual grandfather Vyasa. [1]

This mistake can be seen in the The battle at Kurukshetra section in the Synopsis. Specifically this line "Before the battle, Arjuna, noticing that the opposing army includes his cousins and relatives, including his grandfather Bhishma". Potatonator29 (talk) 10:28, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: The change you're suggesting doesn't appear to be supported by the link you provided. In any case, as a tertiary source, an encyclopedia is not considered reliable. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 03:19, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
