More likely everyone's just sick of it
[edit]Everyone can sing My Way. There's always someone who comes along and can't find any song on the list they can sing, and then they see My Way. Being slow and having almost no music, it's boring to listen to. It kills whatever atmosphere the previous singers have managed to get going.
Regular singers avoid it because they know no one will be entertained by oh that song again.
I think this article looks too hard for a more interesting explanation, and the sources cited are tabloid (the New York Times is a big paper including serious and tabloid articles). It's simply a song that annoys a lot of people that frequent karaoke events, and which gets sung a lot. Gronky (talk) 13:41, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
- I just read the full lyrics on the net. The song is harmless. The sinister speculations on this site are altogether unfounded. 178.38.151.183 (talk) 22:47, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
