Early years
Ylagan attended Montessori schools, and Our Lady of Grace Chapel catholic school in El Cajon, California. They have a sports program to play against other parochial schools.
He excelled in Basketball, Flag Football, then Baseball travel baseball with the Encinitas Red, and American Soccer club with the San Diego Surf.
At 11 years old, he wanted to try tackle football. He played in Pop Warner for coach Savaii Seau, the older brother to the late, Pro Football Hall of Famer, Junior Seau. Seau taught him to love the game, and that the hard work would always pay off.
After graduating from catholic school, Ylagan attended West Hills High School in Santee, CA. There he honed his skills in Football , Track, and Baseball.
