Kasi Lemmons, born in St. Louis on February 24, 1961, is an American film director and actress, notable for her films Eve's Bayou and The Caveman's Valentine.

Her first name is pronounced like "Casey" — (IPA: /'keɪsi/).
She is married to actor Vondie Curtis-Hall, also a film director and actor. They have a son together, Henry Hunter Hall
She had a cameo appearance in Spike Lee's School Daze during a montage of Half-Pint's (Spike Lee) potential conquests.
She had the role of Ardelia Mapp in The Silence of the Lambs.
