Noah Patrick Ylagan (born April 2, 1996) is a Filipino-Mexican American, American football coach and former American football college player, Is currently a football coach at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa

Early years

Ylagan attended Montessori schools, and Our Lady of Grace Chapel catholic school in El Cajon, California.  They have a sports program to play against other parochial schools.

He excelled in Basketball, Flag Football, then Baseball travel baseball with the Encinitas Red, and American Soccer club with the San Diego Surf.

At 11 years old, he wanted to try tackle football.  He played in Pop Warner for coach Savaii Seau, the older brother to the late, Pro Football Hall of Famer, Junior Seau.  Seau taught him to love the game, and that the hard work would always pay off.

After graduating from catholic school, Ylagan attended West Hills High School in Santee, CA.  There he honed his skills in Football, Track, and Baseball.

At graduation, he was a four-time letter winner for the Wolfpack of West Hills High School, (two in football, one in baseball, one in track).  Awarded Team’s Offensive Player of the Year in Football 2013 season.  Graduated in the Spring of 2014. Final stats for West Hills High School Football

As a Sophomore in 2016, Competed in 11 games for the Briar Cliff.  Gained 681 yards on 192 carries to go a touchdown...hauled in 21 receptions for 139 yards and two touchdowns.  Attempted two passes, and accounted for three solo tackles.  He punted 40 times for 1,298 yards. He kicked three for five, on field goals with the longest made coming from 30 yards out against Midland University.

As a Senior in 2018, Ylagan played in all 11 games for Briar Cliff and was named second-team All-GPAC. Rushed for 1,125 yards and six TDs. Also caught nine passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns and threw a 56-yard touchdown pass. Was the leading factor in the team breaking a school record with 2,069 team rushing yards on the season. Contributed to Briar Cliff University football’s first winning season ever.   Top performance came against Dordt University with 199 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
