The third Uppsala Reggae Festival was awarded that year's cultural award by Swedish National Radio Broadcasting, and the fourth festival featured the largest reggae lineup ever to play in Scandinavia. On January 19, 2007, the company behind the festival declared itself bankrupt, following a number of years with ever-increasing debts. The company chairman however claims that the 2007 festival will go ahead as planned.[1] A new company for the festival was founded in February of 2007.
