The Jassim was a Ro-ro passenger ferry that was registered in bolivia, was built and launched in 1960 in Horten, Norway which on December 1st, 2003, while anchored in Wingate reef,Sudan, the Jassim capsized and sank.
The Jassim was a Ro-ro passenger ferry which while being laid up of the coast of Port Sudan,Sudan,capsized and sank on 1st December 2003.The ship would become famous after being found on Google Maps in 2004.

Construction

Launched on November 26th, 1960 ,the Jassim was built as Kattegat by Marinens Hovedverft in Horten, Norway with two b&w diesel engines with duel shafts two screws with a max speed of 17 knots with 2375 gross registered tons with 87.4 x 15 4.4 m dimensions with the yard no. 154

Incident

On December 1st, 2003, while laid up and owned by Al ramzani of sea transport of Qatar,the Jassim started listing over to port, capzised and sank,and there was no reported casualties
