The Tennis Premier League (TPL)[1] is an annual tennis league that takes place in India. Founded in 2018, the upcoming tennis tournament season 5 will take place[2] in December 2023. The league is supported by the All India Tennis Association (AITA), Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) and Indian Wheelchair Tennis Tour (IWTT)].

Former international tennis players such as Leander Paes[3] and Sania Mirza are a part of this League. When asked about it, Paes said, "The League is very important to me as it's helping the sport of tennis to grow. As we have seen in the past, the Indian Premier League (IPL) or the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) are becoming very popular in India".

Season 3 which was held in 2021, Goran Ivenisevic, the current coach of global tennis player Novak Djokovic, was a part of TPL's earlier season. Currently in Season 4[4], the winner of Wimbledon Championship 2022 Men's Doubles and Matthew Ebden[5] from Australia[6] was a part of the league.

There are 8 teams participating in Season 5[7] are – Mumbai Leon Army, with Brand Ambassador Sonu Sood[8], Hyderabad Strikers, co-owned by Rakul Preet Singh, Delhi Binny’s Brigade, with Malaika Arora[9], Pune Jaguars, co-owned by Sonali Bendre Behl, Bengal Wizards[10], co-owned by Leander Paes, Bengaluru SG Mavericks, with Brand Ambassador Sania Mirza, Gujarat Panthers, with Arjun Kapoor and Punjab Tigers co-owned by Taapsee Pannu[11]

The Founders of Tennis Premier League are Kunal Thakkur and Mrunal Jain.[12] The League kicked off its first season in October 2018.

Clear Premium water has joined forces with Tennis Premier League as the official powered by Sponsors for Season 5.[13] This time the matches will be broadcast live on Sony Sports Network[14] from 12th - 17th December 2023.
