* You're right. I've removed/hidden the family tree image until its creator, [[User:Go-Chlodio]], can fix it. —[[User talk:GoldRingChip|GoldRingChip]] 21:06, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

the name 'Scotland' has been used in English for two distinct kingdoms

A problem here is the English language. Historically the name 'Scotland' has been used in English for two distinct kingdoms. Firstly for the ancient gaelic kingdom of Alba and secondly for the later kingdom comprising the whole of modern Scotland. Confusing one with the other is a bit like conflating the kingdom of England with the kingdom of Wessex. The wikipage on Alba says it persisted until 1286 - so that arguably the 'kingdom of Scotland' in modern usage didn't exist until 1287. Arguably too there were no 'kings of the Scots' (except in the English language) until then - they had previously all been Rìgh na h-Alba or King of the Albanach. Translating the name of today's Scotland into the gaelic name Alba is equally confusingly modern usage. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.150.38.110 (talk) 15:10, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Supposed titled

Idi Amin Dada has been claimed the title. See also the title of the oscars awarded movie The Last King of Scotland. Should this be mentioned in some way? --82.52.25.126 (talk) 13:21, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's mentioned here. Mutt Lunker (talk) 14:45, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Date range incorrect for Malcolm III within SVG file

The date range for the reign of Malcolm III is incorrect within the family tree diagram. It should be 1058 to 1093. Jame5 07961 (talk) 19:07, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Error in family tree

According to their respective articles, Donald III didn't have any sons, and Malcolm III's sons were David I, Edgar and Alexander I. But this tree wrongly shows all three as Donald's sons. Richard75 (talk) 18:04, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
