Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Hsiao Bi-khim, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to President of the Republic of China, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you would like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. — Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 18:32, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to President of the Republic of China, you may be blocked from editing. — Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 18:52, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
- Can you read Chinese? I am just synchronize what the content from the Chinese version. Please stop to provide the wrong information. CCL2023 (talk) 19:00, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to engage in subtle vandalism by making unexplained changes to information, as you did at Hsiao Bi-khim, you may be blocked from editing. Butterdiplomat (talk) 22:05, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
- I know you can read Chinese. Could you synchronize the Chinese content and the English content of ROC (Taiwan)? CCL2023 (talk) 22:08, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
- The English-language Wikipedia has its own naming conventions, as decided via consensus over the years. Please refrain from further vandalism simply because you personally would like something to be worded a certain way. The common name convention dictates that we use Taiwan for any modern-day ROC references primarily. Butterdiplomat (talk) 22:12, 10 December 2023 (UTC)

- Although Taiwan official name is Republic of China, e.g. quoting WP:COMMONNAME
North Korea (not: Democratic People's Republic of Korea)
per WP:COMMONNAME the convention is just succinctly Taiwan. --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 18:02, 11 December 2023 (UTC)- @Cat12zu3
- Thanks for pointing out the official name of Taiwan as the Republic of China (ROC). You may not like it. However, this name is stamped in Taiwanese passport. You may not like, but it is THE FACT. Meanwhile, I did check the link of WP:COMMONNAME. I did not find any information related to Taiwan. Meanwhile, we are talking about “nationality”. This means an official name of a country. If you can read the old-fashioned Chinese character in the National Seal of ROC. You will see that there is NO name called “Taiwan” in the National Seal of ROC. Moreover, you can check this link of “https://english.president.gov.tw/” and you will the correct name to represent Taiwanese nationality. Please do not use those false information and continue changing my correction. I am not part any cyber team. I am just a citizen to do the right thing. CCL2023 (talk) 19:01, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- WP:COMMONNAME applys to all not just North Korea. North Korea (DPRK) is one of the example in the WP:COMMONNAME, so the established standard per WP:COMMONNAME is still Taiwan despite ROC. Any other way is not constructive. --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 19:11, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Cat12zu3
- Again, you are try to twist a country name. This is not good practice. CCL2023 (talk) 19:16, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Cat12zu3
- Do you like someone to call your nickname or common name in the public or in the ceremony when your nickname or common name that has special meaning to you? In general thumb-up rule, it is safe to use or to be called your official name. If Republic of China has changed or upgraded or updated its official name to “Taiwan”. I will follow this change. CCL2023 (talk) 19:25, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Cat12zu3@Butterdiplomat@Mdaniels5757
- It is a long history between Republic of China and Taiwan. For me, I would go for the official name. The common name or naming convention rule can not be used for representing someone’s nationality. To follow your naming or common rule, you can call a Taiwanese as a Formosan or an Islander. However, those names are not official and they can not be used. I enjoyed the conversation with yours. I hope you can respect the official name of a country. CCL2023 (talk) 19:14, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- The article Taiwan do mentioned about long official name of Republic of China, however in Wikipedia we do have standard in writing article, WP:COMMONNAME is the established norm...to name it brevity/concisely. So it would be South Korea and Taiwan not Republic of Korea not Republic of China --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 19:23, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- Please don't..that would be disruptive...had explained to you about WP:COMMONNAME...making such changes would be really disruptive... --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 19:29, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Cat12zu3
- Passing the right and correct information is never a disruptive action. Instead of my action, your suggestion to change an official name of a country is not good practice. CCL2023 (talk) 19:35, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Cat12zu3
- I am apologize that you keep using other countries’ name as an example. I did check your link WP:COMMONNAME, I did not find any information about Taiwan. Please point out a correct link. Please stop using this common rule to twist the official name of a country. CCL2023 (talk) 19:30, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- Had already explained to you about what's in WP:COMMONNAME, one of the examples there is North Korea which should be North Korea not long form official name Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Bill Clinton not long form William Jefferson Clinton, Westminster Abbey not long form Collegiate Church of Saint Peter at Westminster...if you don't understand what established standard WP:COMMONNAMES...then I don't know what else to explain to you. My advice is don't keep changing, that would be unconstructive, and might get taken corrective action, including corrective actions per those existing warnings listed here --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 19:49, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Cat12zu3
- OMG. The action of using the correct and right information by using an official country’s name to represent the nationality of a citizen from that country is “unconstructive” and will be suffered a corrective action. If this is case, I will thanks the GOD to show me this. CCL2023 (talk) 20:03, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

- @Cat12zu3
- Thanks for pointing out this naming convention link to me. Again, I checked and I COULD NOT any information related to Taiwan or Republic of China. It is reference link. It is not official unless I see the proof from Wiki Oversight or Wikipedia foundation and he/she states all English version Wiki pages that should use “Taiwan” to replace “the Republic of China”. In this case, I will follow it. Indeed, it is not good practice to mess up someone’s official country name. CCL2023 (talk) 19:56, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

- You are acting as the GOD to make the decision to block someone’s contribution to Wikipedia because someone is not agree your rule. In my knowledge, I know Taiwanese are always proud of being in a free country with a free speech to speak-up. In this case, I am telling you that you should not mess up someone’s nationality with unofficial country name. CCL2023 (talk) 20:14, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Cat12zu3
- No worry. You win. You did not need threat me with those discipline/administrative actions. I am a newbie to the wiki community.
- I give you my permission to block my editing. I can not be the GOD. My guess that you might doing this for the living as a member of Network, Internet or Cyber Army.
- I am not. I am just a citizen or civilian and try to provide the correct and right information for representing an official name of a country. Indeed, it is the great conversation with you for this topic.
- Having a good day.
- Long live Taiwan, Long live Republic of China. CCL2023 (talk) 20:40, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

- Hello? Can come to Talk:Hsiao Bi-khim? I saw you just add Republic of China (Taiwan) (Special:Diff/1189518240), which seemed like a good WP:NPOV compromise to WP:COMMONNAME. Can put Republic of China (Taiwan) instead? Please come to Talk:Hsiao Bi-khim to reply. --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 10:59, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 16:13, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
