Josephine Touray (born 6 October 1979) is a former Danish team handball player and Olympic champion of Gambian descent. She played mainly as a right back. Over the course of her career she played 115 games for the Danish national team, where she scored 360 goals. She played for the clubs: Bjerringbro KFUM, Viborg HK, KIF Kolding, Ikast-Bording EH, FCK Håndbold und SK Aarhus, all in Denmark. She received a gold medal with the Danish national team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.[1]
After her playing career, Touray studied Law. She has been involved in various charity organisation. First in FANT - Football for a new tomorrow, an organisation supporting sports in developing countries[2] and Hej-Fonden, an organisation against bullying, which has involved numerous former and current Danish handball players, including Mikkel Hansen and Mie Højlund.[3]
