Varniţa is a town in the raion of Anenii Noi, Republic of Moldova, located near Tighina (Bender). It is considered a suburb of Tighina. After the 1992 War of Transnistria, Varniţa remained controlled by the government of the Republic of Moldova, while the city of Tighina is controlled by the separatist authorities of Transnistria (internationally recognised as part of the Republic of Moldova.
