"Tird Region"

Is the following a misspelling of third: "Tird Region"; I do not know the difference is there is one.Srednuas Lenoroc (talk) 00:35, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Horst-Wessel-Lied sampling

The article Horst-Wessel-Lied cites a source which claims that Hymnen contains a sample recording of that song.

A sample of a brief fragment, yes. To quote the score preface: "The second region has four further Centres: the national anthem of the Federal Republic of West Germany, a group of African anthems, mixed and alternating with the beginning of the Soviet anthem, and a subjective Centre which suddenly breaks in at the end of the continuous transition between the German and African anthems and – in the guise of a reflection on another German "anthem" of the past – reveals the whole compositional procedure. This is the original recording of a moment during work in the studio where present, past and pluperfect become simultaneous (the last sentence: 'Wir könnten noch eine Dimension tiefer gehn ...' 'We could go yet one dimension deeper ...')." The studio discussion runs from 18:07 to 20:13 in the second region, and begins with the words "Otto Tomek sagte [sagen, hat gesagt], das mit dem Horst-Wessel-Lied gibt böses Blut ...", to which Stockhausen replies, "Es ist nur eine Erinnerung." I suppose this is important enough that it should be included in this article, especially since Stockhausen says the discussion "reveals the whole compositional procedure.".—Jerome Kohl (talk) 21:34, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
