East Chop is the "Around The Sound" cruise ferry. Hy-Line Cruises bought this ferry from Nantucket Cruises Inc. in 1970 along with 'Point Gammon'. She is 100 feet in length, and is 40 feet abeam. She is powered by two CAT engines, and has two propellers.
Her home port is Hyannis, where she overnights. When in Oak Bluffs, she ties up at Memorial Wharf, when she is in Nantucket she berths at Straight Wharf. Passengers board on the Starboard side.
East Chop is also a residential portion of the Town of Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard Island off Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
