Doh! The UK and Spain are States. Wales and Catalonia are countries or regions, depending upon your political point of biew. Catalonia is officially recognised, along with Galiza and the part of the Basque Country recognised as such within the Spanish State as "historical nationalities" according to the trems of the Spanish Constitution. The term "region" is also rather vexed in that these Stateless entities (Wales, Catalonia, etc.) cana lso further be divided up into regions... --84.78.78.41 19:44, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
