The 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Marko Bezruchko (Template:Lang-uk) is a brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces formed in 2022.[2] Since then, it has gained notoriety for its part in the Battle of Avdiivka, and it is said to have performed well in spite of the amount of new Russian resources sent to this front.[3][4][5]

History

The unit exclusively uses equipment donated or purchased from the Czech Republic.[6]

Brigade was formed in March 2022, just after the start of russian full-scale invasion. Soon after the formantion, 110th brigade was deployed in Avdiivka, and defends its northern and southern part, as well as AKHZ plant, till present day.[7][8][9]

After the intensification of fighting in October 2023, during 4 months, 110th brigade successfully repelled the Russian Armed Forces attacks, most of which were in the area of the AKHZ plant and in the area of the village of Stepove, where the 47th brigade has been deployed. Russian troops lost at least 13 thousand killed and wounded.[10] Russians lost 13 vehicles for every 1 vehicle lost by the defenders.[11]
