Style points
Since I suspect this is a project for a class, I won't edit it myself, but let me mention a couple of style points: (1) In section titles only the first word should usually be capitalized -- so it should be "Spontaneous network activity" instead of "Spontaneous Network Activity" etc; (2) section titles should not contain wikilinks -- i.e., you shouldn't see any blue there. Regards, Looie496 (talk) 15:49, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- This page is good quality, though I would urge disambiguation in the title in the form of parentheticals denoting "(Human Biology)" or "(Humans)" or something similar. I suggest this because developmental plasticity is a vast area of research in animal development and ecology that this article doesn't delve into. Marksbeans (talk) 17:03, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
- This page has some good information on it. However, I do feel like there are many run-on sentences that need to be looked at. I added a couple of commas here and there, but the sentence structures needs to be looked at. Hbrowny5 (talk) 02:22, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- It looks like there was a lot of thought that went into making this page. One of my suggestions would just be to go back and look over the places that have a "citation needed" comment, assess the preceding sentence or statement, and try to address the comment by finding the appropriate source. If you disagree with the comment, you can discuss it within the talk page. Catsakia (talk) 06:05, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

References
For this article, I noticed some of the references are well over ten years, some even from 1999. I would suggest updating the old references so that the article is more up to date and considers new information. This article is well written and gives a good understanding of developmental plasticity, however I advise looking at the references. Some of the references are linked to articles that are reviewed instead of being an original source. (JayRel23 (talk) 20:30, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
Tone
I am concerned that there may be a few sentences in this article that violate wikipedia's neutral tone policy. For instance:
"The concept of critical periods is a widely accepted and prominent theme in development, with strong implications for developmental plasticity..."
"The formation of the nervous system is one of the most crucial events in the developing embryo."
"Learning is crucial, as there is considerable interaction with the environment, which is when the potential for acquiring new information is greatest."
"This has remarkable clinical significance, as newborn infants are often supplemented with considerable amounts of oxygen, which could detrimentally affect the way in which neural circuits for respiratory control develop during the critical period."
I apologize in advance if my assessment is incorrect, I must admit that I am new to editing wikipedia. (Note: All of the quotes listed above came directly from this wikipedia article on developmental plasticity)
